Identify the position of an object or a person using the ordinals 1st to 20th.
Read and write ordinal words first to twentieth correctly.
Write ordinals from 1st to 20th to label objects or people from a given reference point.

Transfer Goals: Students on their own and in the long run will be able to:
Use and identify ordinal numbers help them locate the position of an object or a person. They can
also use the ordinal numbers when playing a game to determine the winner.

EXPLORE MOTIVATION
Present a scenario.
Ask the learners, “Who is the first in line? Who is the fourth in line?”
(Day 1)
Present the picture of the people in the grocerystore again.
FIRM-UP These people have different positions. We can tell their positions by using
ordinal numbers.”
Next, present the picture of a building and say, “Ordinal numbers tell the
order and position of people or objects from a given reference point.
For example, labeling the floors of a building starting from 1st to 20th floor.”
