 Identify the position of an object or a person using the ordinals 1st to 20th.
 Read and write ordinal words first to twentieth correctly.
 Write ordinals from 1st to 20th to label objects or people from a given reference point.
 Show cooperation in group activities.

Transfer Goals: Students on their own and in the long run will be able to:
 Use and identify ordinal numbers help them locate the position of an object or a person. They can
also use the ordinal numbers when playing a game to determine the winner.

(Day 1)

EXPLORE MOTIVATION
 Present a scenario.
 Ask the learners, “Who is the first in line? Who is the fourth in line?”
(Day 1)
 Present the picture of the people in the grocerystore again.
FIRM-UP  These people have different positions. We can tell their positions by using
ordinal numbers.”
 Next, present the picture of a building and say, “Ordinal numbers tell the
order and position of people or objects from a given reference point.
 For example, labeling the floors of a building starting from 1st to 20th floor.”
 Reading and Writing Ordinal Numbers in Symbols and in Words from 1st to
20th.

 Labeling Objects and People Using Ordinal Numbers.
 Labeling Using Ordinal Numbers From a Given Reference Point
 Read the ordinal number and write its symbol on your whiteboard.
 Present a picture labeled with ordinal numbers.
 Ask the learners to write the missing ordinal numbers in symbols.
