 Use rounding off numbers up to the thousands place to give an estimation in real-life contexts (bills,
quick calculations when buying, etc.

 Help them simplify or estimate large numbers that they may encounter, such as the price of items or
services, the population of an area, and other values that need to be computed quickly.

 Call on a learner to do this step.
 Ask the learners if they will round up or round down.
 Present a number line to help the learners visualize the rounding
off process.
