Detailed Lesson Plan in TLE Grade 8

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to:

1. enumerate types of sewing machines;


2. appreciate the use of different types of sewing machines.
3. demonstrate interest in understanding the difference between sewing
machines in various sewing projects.

Okay class, in our activity I show you four


objects, right?

For today we are going to talk about the


types of sewing machines. Have you seen a

The sewing machine is really important in


our daily lives because it makes sewing
clothes much easier and faster than doing
it by hand. It saves time and effort, making
sewing projects more doable and fun for
everyone, no matter their skill level.
Whether you're fixing a torn shirt or
creating something new, the sewing
machine makes it all simpler and more
enjoyable.

Let’s find out what are these different


types of sewing machines. The first one is
the Lockstitch sewing machines are usually
used in homes and sometimes in schools. It (a student ask a question)
is run on foot and may also be converted to
an electric power machine. Ma’am what’s the difference between
Lockstitch sewing machine and Hi-
speed lock stitch sewing machine?
Next is the High-speed lock stitch sewing
machine which is used by tailors and
dressmakers.

The difference between the two is that a


high-speed sewing machine is faster to use
than a lockstitch sewing machine.

Okay, the third is Over edging machine, do


you have any idea where we use this ( a student raise his hand)
machine? It finishes the raw edge of the pattern
for construction.

Another is the Embroidery machine which


is used in making fancy stitches and (students raise their hands)
