CAE Air Crew Selection Service (CASS) | Why Assesment

Pilot Aptitude Test (PAT) is the first milestone in every pilot’s professional career, it means a
well-designed PAT can reduce the risk of future failure.

PAT are meant for determining the ability of an individual to succeed in a certain task. PAT
involves a series of tests that helps measures individuals below competence to fly or learn to fly
an aircraft.

ADAPT Assessment Process

Stage 1
Candidate receives Handbook, assessment schedule and payment details from
assessment coordinator.

Assessment coordinator invites candidate for assessment via email.

Payment done by candidate. Candidate email’s payment receipt

Stage 2
Candidate comes to the assessment center

Candidate receives briefing on what to expect during the assessment.

Candidate completes the following tests:

1 ADAPT Personality Questionnaire (APQ)


2 Physical Assessment Stage (FAST)
3 Cognitive
4 Math
5 Physics
6 Control and Coordination Test (Ball Game)
7 Flight Test
Result is shared to the candidate.

Unsuccessful candidate receives feedback call from assessment center for the
performance during the test

Unsuccessful candidates can apply for reattempt after completion of cooling period.

Stage 3
Assessment coordinator invites selected candidates for Group Activity and Personal
Interview (GAPI).

Schedule for interview is sent and confirmed by candidate

Candidate to share documents as requested for GAPI

Selected candidate to attend PI

Results declared to candidates

Successful candidates are further invited for LOI with IGO

Note: GAPI stand’s for Group Activity and Personal Interview.
