PROJECT AND COURSEWORK QUALIFICATIONS
Culminating Project (LLED 2110)
In my Survey of Diverse Literature for Young Audiences, I curated a list of ten diverse books for young readers. The list
included books that discussed topics such as colorism, LGBTQIA+ representation, blended families, and many more.
Working on this project developed my skills in research, finding the best books for young audiences, and making sure
that all children have a chance to see themselves represented in a story.
Final Capstone Project (HDFS 4330)
In my Diversity in Human Development and Family Systems course, I and 3 others completed a capstone project that
involved creating a school that was centered on each child’s well-being and equal access to opportunity is a step in
the right direction. Working on this project developed my skills in group collaboration, understanding the different
financial situations of students, and making sure that all children have a chance to succeed in school.
