The ripper beam (carriage) and ripper frame can move when the
hydraulic lines are disconnected or removed. To prevent bodily
injury, put correct blocks or stands under the ripper beam
(carriage) and ripper frame as support for the weight.

Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after
the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this

Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered, oil is cool
before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler

cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all
tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes to prevent fluid loss

3. Fasten a suitable lifting device to the ripper tilt cylinder (3), as shown.

4. Remove bolts (4) and plate (5). Remove pin (6) from ripper carriage (2) and
disconnect the rod end of the ripper tilt cylinder.

5. Start the machine. Retract the cylinder rod end from ripper carriage (2).

6. Disconnect hose assemblies (7) and (8) from ripper tilt cylinder (3).

7. Remove nut (11) and the bolt. Remove spacers (9) and pin (10). Remove the
ripper tilt cylinder. The weight of the ripper tilt cylinder is approximately
273 kg (600 lb).

8. Position Tooling (C) onto bushing (12) as shown in Illustration 6. Remove
bushing (12). Repeat for the remaining bushings.

1. Position Tooling (D) onto bushing (12) as shown in Illustration 8. Install busing
c.
(12) flush with the inside of the frame. Repeat for the remaining bushings.

2. Install the ripper tilt cylinder. The weight of the ripper tilt cylinder is
approximately 273 kg (600 lb). Install pin (10) and spacers (9). Install the bolt
and nut (11).

3. Connect hose assemblies (8) and (7) to ripper tilt cylinder (3).

4. Start the machine. Extend the cylinder rod end from ripper carriage (2).

5. Connect the rod end to the ripper tilt cylinder and install pin (6) to ripper

carriage (2). Install plate (5) and bolts (4).

6. Remove the suitable lifting device from the ripper tilt cylinder (3).

7. Raise the ripper frame assembly (1) off Tooling (A) and raise ripper carriage (2)

8. Remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) from the machine.
