This line graph reports the alterations in the average

amount of carbon dioxide emitted from each person in some

particular European countries from 1967 to 2007.

In 1967,the quantity of CO2 emission in UK was by far the

largest of these nations.,with about 11mt per person. The

emission of Sweden and Italy came after that of UK(just under

9mt and above 4mt),while less much CO2 was emitted(at about

1mt).

During this 40-year period, the emission of CO2 in Italy rose

almost steadily to just under 6mt and 8mt respectively, with that

in UK declining to approximately 9.5mt.On the other hand, the

amount of CO2 emission in Sweden firstly rose to just above

10mt in about 1977 , with the number decreasing to about

7mt in about 1987,which is almost the same as that of Italy. In

2007,the number was the same as that of Portugal(with about

5.5mt).

In conclusion, this chart illustrates how the average CO2

emission in Italy and Portugal rose almost steadily, while the

number of UK declined and that of Sweden fluctuated.(168
