The chart illustrates the median carbon dioxide (CO2) intake per individual in the United Kingdom,

Sweden, Italy, and Portugal from 1967 to 2007.

Overall, the median intake of (CO2) per individual in Italy and Portugal increased steadily through the
period while in the United Kingdom and Sweden it decreased despite that, the average amount of (CO2)
consumed by one individual in the UK is higher than any other country provided.

The median (CO2) consumption by metric tonnes per person in Portugal was around 1 in 1967, which
rose to just below 6 in 2007, while in Italy from 1967 to 1997 it increased continuously from just over 4
to below 8, and from 1997 to 2007 it remains constant.

For the United Kingdom, it has decreased from around 11 in 1967 to approximately 9 in 2007, in Sweden
the line movement fluctuated as it started by increasing in 1967 from about 9 to reaching over 10 by
1977 and after that time it has dropped just under 8 in which is same as in Italy in 2007.
