PLANNING & EVENTS DIVISION ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION TOURISM PROMOTION DIVISION

 PLANNING & EVENTS DIVISION
This serves as the backbone of the Provincial
Tourism Office. This division is responsible for the
planning, researching and budgeting of all activities,
works and developments that the office may
undertake. It recommends to Governor through the
Tourism Officer the development and investment plans
affecting the Tourism Industry of the Province. It
prepares the General Program of Activities (GPOA)
including the short, medium and long term
development plans. It also serves as the monitoring
and evaluation division.
This division is primarily responsible in the
implementation of the GPOA. Shall also responsible to
prepare capacity building/training designs of the Office
including but not limited to organizing conferences,
seminars, workshops not only for the benefit of the
staff but also for the future partners of the office such
the players, product and service providers of the
tourism industry in the Province. Shall coordinate and
consolidate all official activities/celebrations/functions
of the Provincial Capitol which involve the use of its
park and compound.

This division is in charge of all clerical matters
such as receiving, recording, and releasing of
correspondences and processing of documents
concerning the operation of the Tourism Office
including the custody of all its properties. Support
services to tourism events as to administrative
matter.

TOURISM PROMOTION DIVISION
This is in charge of the promotion of the
Tourism Industry of the Province. It shall coordinate
with the Local Government Units, Department of
Tourism, Business Sector and Tourism Players
relative to tourism matters. It shall represent the Office
to local and national exhibits, shows, gatherings. It is
in-charge to entertain guests of the PLGU wanting to
visit tourism sites. It shall maintain a visitors’
information center within the Capitol Compound and in
Laguindingan Airport. It shall take charge of
promotional stuffs and concerns like, brochures,
magazines, television and radio ads, and shall
maintain official email, website and Facebook page. It
shall recommend to the Tourism Officer the
accreditation of products and service providers
operating in Misamis Oriental for inclusion in the
promotions/packages.
