I. Layunin: Tukuyin ang odd at even numbers. (M3NS-llia-63)

KBI: Makinig nang Mabuti at aktibong lumahok sa mga aktibidad sa talagayan.

II. Paksa:
A. Paksa: Odd at Even Numbers.
B. Sanggunian: Mathematics 3 Learner’s Module pahina 228-230

C. Kagamitan: Instructional Materials (IM’s), projector and Laptop.


D. Konsepto: Ang mga Even na numero na nagtatapos sa 0,2,4,6 o 8. Ang mga Odd na numero
ay mga numero na nagtatapos sa 1,3,5,7 or 9. Lahat ng even na numero ay gumagawa ng mga
pares at lahat ng odd na numero ay mag-iasa na mga walang pares.

2. Review
Let the pupils identify the pictures if it is show a pair or not pair.
B. Motivation
I have here a basket containing various objects inside of it. The pupils will organize
and count the following objects. After counting, they will identify the objects if it is
pair or not pair.

C. Presentation:
“Odd and Even Numbers”
The class of Mrs. Ching will go in the Robinson’s Mall. Her students fall in line with
pairs. She has 24 students in her class. Is there a pair of all of her students? Why? How
about if the students of Mrs. Ching is only 23, are all students can have a pair? Why?
Guided Questions:
1. What are the given numbers?
2. Which number is even?
3. Which number is odd?

• Odd numbers – are numbers end with 1,3,5,7 and 9.


• Even numbers – are numbers end with 0,2,4,6 and 8.

Activity 2: (pupil to material)

Group Activity- Setting of Standards  Teamwork  Cooperation

 Divide the class into four (4) groups. Each group will get numbers inside the box and classify this
whether an odd or even numbers. The group who will get more correct answer will be announced
the winner and get a price. They will finish the task within two (2) minutes only.

Color the odd numbers with red and even numbers with green.
E. Application: (Oral activity) (MAPEH Integration)

The pupils will play a game “Peel The Cabbage”. Let the pupils stay in their chair and instruct
them to pass the cabbage next to them while the music is going on. When the music stop it will
also signify that they need to stop passing the cabbage. Whoever got the cabbage will peel one
paper from the cabbage and will perform what is indicated in the paper. Do this until the cabbage
is done.
