Date: (Week 5)

I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:

1. Define and understand the concepts of “Results” and “Discussions” in a


research paper;
2. Formulate ideas on to interpret a result of a research.

II. Subject Matter:


Parts of a Research Paper

a. References: Textbook, Internet


b. Materials: Makers, Pictures, Text book, Dictionaries, Projector, Map
c. Skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking

III. Learning Activities:

A. Preparatory Activities:

1. Checking of attendance and assignment.

2. Review of the previous lesson.

2. Motivation:

a. The teacher will show some Thesis using the projector


and let the student read and translate it into Thai
language.

B. Presentation:

1. After gathering the data or conducting interviews. You will


tabulate and compute it. This will reflect on the “result’ part of
your research.

C. Discussion:

1. In this section, the results of the analysis are presented. How


the results are presented will depend upon whether the
research study was quantitative or qualitative in nature. This
section should focus only on results that are directly related to
the research or the problem. Graphs and tables should only
be used when there is too much data to efficiently include it
within the text. This section should present the results, but not
discuss their significance.

D. Generalization:

1. The result must be written plainly, clearly and objectively. Do


not make any arguments about what you’ve found in this
section

2. Tables and figures: Don’t use redundant data--Include them


only to add/clarify results.
IV. Evaluation:

1. In what part of the research do we present our analysis?


2. What are graphs and tables?

V. Assignment:

1. What is the translation of “conclusion” in Thai?
