II. Rationale/Justification:
Giving and receiving gifts at Christmas is one of the joys of the festive season. It’s a
particularly exciting time for all. The Barangay Council of Brgy. Ungka II is annually
conducting a Gift giving for different sectors in our barangay such as PWD’s, Women,
Indigents, Solo Parents and Senior Citizens. This tradition aims to promotes oneness in
different sectors in the barangay in celebrating the Christmas to express our love and
appreciation for others thus, have harmonious relationship with the impact communities
of the constituents.

III. Objectives:
This program and activity are generally aimed at alleviating the financial difficulties of
PWD’s, Women, Indigents, Solo Parents and Senior Citizens in our barangay. Giving gifts is
something which usually makes us feels good. Giving and receiving gifts can be important
life lessons and generally aimed improve the conditions of our community. through the
provision of common household grocery/food items.

IV. Description:
This is one time provision of grocery assistance (salad or spaghetti packs) to registered
PWD’s, Women, Indigents, Solo Parents and Senior Citizens in our barangay to be given
and as beneficiaries.

V. Target Beneficiaries:
The target beneficiaries of this gift giving are those registered PWD’s, Women, Indigents,
Solo Parents and Senior Citizens with the MSWDO as of November 2022.

Recommendation:

This proposed of Christmas Gift packs for registered persons with disabilities, Solo Parent,
Women and indigent are to be able to alleviate the financial difficulties through the provision of
common household food items. It is respectfully requested the approval of the Punong Barangay for
the financial assistance in the amount of Thirty Thousand pesos only (Php 250,000.00).
