2. Rationale and Background
It is the policy of the state to recognize the vital role of the youth in nation-building and shall promote
and protect their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being as mandated in Art. II, Sec. 13
of the 1987 Constitution. Moreover, it is the vision of the Municipality of Jagna under its slogan “LIVABLE
JAGNA” to develop their youth towards moral development, social ethical growth and expand unity and
camaraderie among them.
With this regard, the selected Sangguniang Kabataan of Jagna, Bohol conducts a Youth Camp 2019 that
aims to educate the youth against drug addiction, health problems, environmental concerns and moral and
ethical standards through youth immersion and exposure. Furthermore, the activity intends to promote
cultural preservation by organizing barrio fiesta, traditional gala, larong pinoy and wearing National
costumes like Barong Tagalog and Filipiniana.

3. Objective/Expected Immediate Outcome or Result

The Linggo ng Kabataan aims:
1. To intensify participation, cooperation and unity among the Jagnaanon youth.
2. To develop the young in their emotional and moral development.
3. To amplify Jagna’s advocacy awareness campaigns thru youth immersion and exposure organized in
the said activity.
4. To promote cultural preservation and social development among the youth.
