TRAVEL REPORT

Activity:

Regional Orientation of Teachers on the Implementation of ALS Senior High School MELCs-
Based and Hybrid Curricula on May 11-13, 2023 at Rakdell Inn, Virac, Catanduanes.

Day 1 (May 11,2023)

 The regional activity was started with an opening program hosted by Sir John Jomar Corsiga.
 ALS Programs, and Policies were discussed by Sir Ricardo Tejeresas, the Regional ALS Focal
Person.
 Sir Marvin Garcia, the Division ALS Focal Person of Masbate City discussed about the ALS- SHS
Assessments, development of ALS-SHS MELCs-Based Curriculum, and Walkthrough on the
unpacked contextualized MELCs based ALS-SHS Curriculum highlighting its Key Features.
 The development of ALS-SHS Hybrid Curriculum was presented by Maam Brenly Mendoza from
Liago National High School.
 Sir Ricardo Tejeresas discussed the Principles of Andragogy and Instructional Planning.

Day 2 (May 12 2023)

 Day 2 started with a plenary session on ALS-SHS MELCs-based curriculum and ALS-SHS Hybrid
Curriculum facilitated by LS 6 resource speakers.
 Breakout sessions for LS 1 to LS 5 were facilitated by the facilitators both for ALS-SHS MELCs-
based and Hybrid Curricula.

Day 3 (May 13, 2023)

 Demonstration teaching was facilitated by our facilitators for LS 1 to LS 6. Actual ALS-SHS
learners were the participants of the demo teaching.
 After the demo teaching, a post-conference was conducted per Learning Strand.
 The regional orientation was finally ended by a closing program in the afternoon.
