SKRIP ENGLISH LEANGUAGE

This building complex is located on Jalan Diponegoro, Oro Oro Ombo Village, Madiun City. Madiun
people know this complex as Bosbow. Bosbow or Boschbouw is a Dutch word, Bosch means
Forest/Forestry, Bouw means Building. This complex used to be a forestry school called "Middlebare
Boshbouwschool (MBS) te Madioen" which was established during the Dutch era.

Middlebare Boschbouw School (Sekolah Kehutanan Menengah Atas, MBS) in Madiun, which was
founded by J.H. Becking, head of the Forestry Ministry on August 26, 1939. In the first academic year,
learning activities began with 60 students. This school was national in scale so it not only recruited
children from the Madiun Gemeente area but also from all over Java.

From the 1950s to the 1970s, the Bosbow building complex was used by Battalion 508 as Makayon
508. Please note that the Bosbow complex has been inhabited by more than 100 families. The
condition of the buildings in this complex is actually still good

The city government of Madiun, East Java, plans to transform Bosbow on Jalan Diponegoro into a
cafe with a colonial-era concept.
