Responsibilities
• Ensure safe work practices, i.e. attending compulsory safety courses and
meetings, using required PPE, incident/accident reporting, and ensuring total
adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Policies, as well
as other relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ensure that urgent orders are prioritized from the point of receiving until delivery
to the end user throughout the Supply Chain process.
• Identify potential cost savings and communicate the same with the Supervisor for
appropriate action.
• Responsible for managing and controlling stock accuracy during receiving and
issuing.
• Ensure that warehouse management is effective and efficient and that
procedures for Receiving, Binning, Issuing, and delivery to end users are
properly followed.
• Collaborate with the inventory or procurement team to prioritize the zero-stock
replenishment.
• Drive Supply chain best practices through collaboration with user departments
and other Supply chain business partners.
• Work with the Logistics team to ensure that Supply Partners and forwarders ship
orders on time.
• Prepares requests for delivery to end users through reservations/picking slips in
accordance with procedures.
• Timely and accurate completion of daily and weekly reports with appropriate

• Manages all Discrepancy items received from the time of identification of the
discrepancy to final resolution.
• Filing and archiving: Ensures that all documents are organized in an effective
manner.
• Ensures that all reporting and information relating to stocks are available and up
to date.
• Ensures execution of all relevant policies and procedures.
• Ensures timely response to emergencies concerning material requests by end
users (day and night shifts).
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all warehouse storage areas and
ensure proper organization and adherence to the FIFO (First In, First Out)
method for issuing materials.
• Immediately reconcile and post items issued from Vendor Managed Inventory
(VMI) stores upon collection by end users to ensure timely cost allocation.
• The incumbent may be asked to perform any other tasks that are not explicitly
listed above but which are related to the overall objective of the post or
department (by the Warehouse Supervisor or Superintendent).

Qualification requirements
• Tertiary qualification in Logistics, or equivalent.

Experience and competencies needed.


• 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain/ Logistics Management.
• Strong Excel Skills; analytical skills; excellent Interpersonal skills.
• Excellent working and demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems (as SAP
system).
• Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively and drive results.
• Excellent communication skills and assertiveness.
• Good time management skills and the ability to complete tasks in a safe, timely
and professional fashion.

Responsibilities

unplanned equipment unavailability events.
• Ensure that maintenance practices result in maximum equipment availability.
• Utilize work instructions to determine job requirements, including job sheets,
quality, quantity of materials/ resources, etc.
• Perform PM inspection according to the maintenance requirements and ensure
preventive maintenance compliance.
• Conduct Mobile and Plant equipment upgrades/modifications as required.
• Removal of the machine components and replacement.
• Provide accurate and timely feedback to the supervisor on conditions that may
affect the functionality of the equipment.
• Follow up on outstanding maintenance/ repairs.
• Complete shift handover process.
• Actively participate in training activities to gain new skills and develop their full
potential.
• Under the direction of the supervisor, provide appropriate on-the-job training and
coaching to less experienced personnel.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Ordinary secondary education (Form IV)
• Trade-certified Fitter, FTC IMTT or VETA
• A valid Tanzanian Driving Licence.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 3 years working on Sandvik mechanized mining equipment.
• Exposure to working with automation of underground mechanized mining
equipment.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:


• Excellent mechanical aptitude, coordination, and dexterity
• Ability to keep records of repairs, time and parts used for the servicing of heavy,
special purpose automotive equipment, and to make related reports.
• Considerable knowledge and a high degree of skill in diagnosis of trouble
reported on the various pieces of equipment.
• The ability to diagnose faults and rectify them in a time-efficient manner is critical
• Good Communication Skills, English & Swahili
• Skill in the use of mechanized tools, jacks, and hoists
• Skill in the use of a variety of diagnostic testing and tuning equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions.

• Experience in Maintenance (underground equipment)
• 3 years of experience as an HD Auto-Electrician
• Heavy equipment mechanical knowledge required.

Skills / knowledge requirements:


• Diagnose and repair automotive electrical system.
• Using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions.
• Dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components.
• Able to apply knowledge of automotive electronics, engines, and chassis.
• Install components, such as alternators, starter motors, horns, lights, and turn
signals.
• Perform maintenance on batteries and charging systems.
• Inspect and test electrical connections and components.
• Replace and install electrical connectors, relays, fuses, and circuit breakers.
• Abel to Analyze and interpret technical diagrams.
