School Chronic Absenteeism for last week: 16%

DMC Happenings this Week: Apple Core celebration May 1 at 1 pm in MP Room, Parents and Pastries May 2
at 8:30 am in MP Room, Field Day May 3 9:15-11:30 am (parents are welcome but NO water squirt guns),
Kindergarten Parent Picnic May 3 after Field Day, 5th Grade Rockets 1:30 pm on field.

Miler’s News: Date Change…Last day for Miler’s is tomorrow, April 30th. No more morning walking/jogging for rest of the
year.

Field Day News: Parents, this Friday is our annual Field Day for students. Please make sure that on Friday, they come with a
water bottle (labeled with their name), sunscreen, a hat, a towel, and change of clothes. They can purchase an “Otter Pop” for
$1.00 at one of the stations.

Yearbook News: Yearbooks are in! There was 156 yearbooks sold and there are only 44 left to purchase if you did not order
one. Cub Leaders will be handing out Yearbooks this week. If you did not get a yearbook, you can purchase one in the front
office for $40.00 (cash only).

Staff Appreciation Week Coming: Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please check your child’s back pack this week
for a “flier of favorites” from your child’s teacher.

Student Announcement: All late and/or missing work and all retakes must be completed by Friday, May 3rd. No late or
missing work accepted after Friday, May 3rd. Parents please review your child’s Infinite Campus this week. Next week teachers
will be completing all grading and beginning to complete their report cards.

CCSD Online Registration: On Line Registration is OPEN for the 2024-2025 school year. Please register through
Infinite Campus for all your students. Your current DMC student will not be given a class placement for 2024-
2025 on the final day of school if they are not registered online. As of Thursday, April 25th we only had 103 of our
students registered for the upcoming school year.

 Outstanding Cub Readers: Congratulations to Izabella Hopewell and Liam Iglesias from
Mrs. Freiburger’s class they doubled their AR points goal! Also to Grey Davis and Knox Sutton, they
tripled their AR points goal! WOW!

Parent Teacher Requests 2024-2025 are no longer being accepted. Deadline was the 26th and
requests were open the month of April.
Administration will not meet with parents for requests not granted; parent requests do not
guarantee student placement.

SBAC Testing Schedule: Congratulations to all our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students! State testing is finished for this year! They
really worked hard and stayed focused!
