1. Remove top floor working platform

After completing the installation of rope climber and safety test for the running platform, remove the
top floor working platform.

Safety warning!
Platforms, disassembled either outside or inside of hoistway must incorporate the use of Life Lines as a
fall arrest system, refer to WWJSSS 4.3.D.

1.1 Remove the kick plates and guardrails of upper deck

1.2 Remove the footboards and ladder of upper deck

1.3 Remove the platform beams and support brackets of upper deck

1.5 Remove the steel channel (Or angle iron) at the front end of lower deck

1.6 Loosen but don’t remove the bolts of the lower deck braces

1.7 Remove the footboards in turns from the front end to the first angle iron, then remove the first
angle iron and the other footboards

1.8 Remove the“L” bracket.

1.9 Remove the connection bolts of lower deck plank and support beams, and then pull the plank out
from hoistway. Remove the second angle iron and support beams finally.

1.10 Recover the entrance protection of top floor
