When a flight arrives at a pier gate and the

passenger border status not corresponds
with the border status of the terminal area,
or if the security status does not meet the
requirements ‘Security conform EU’ all
passengers are transported by bus to a BIP
corresponding the correct status.

At Schiphol, 18 pier gates are adapted to
positions ensure a safe route to the bus.
The procedure concerning these pier gates
has been appointed as ’bus@gate’:
