PROPORTION

A Proportion is a statement which describes

that the given ratios are equivalent. It can
be written in two ways: as two equal
fractions ; or using a colon a : b = c : d .
It can be read as ”a is to b as c is to d”.
When two ratios are equal, then the cross
products of the ratios are equal. That is for
the proportion , a(d) = b(c).
