Hebei University (HBU) is co-constructed by Ministry of Education, the
People's Government of Hebei Province, which is located in Baoding, a
well known city with rich culture. Baoding has a long history and in a
predominant location, within one-hour-economic circle between Beijing
and Tianjin, 20 kilometers to Xiong’an New Area.

HBU was originally founded by French Jesuits in 1921. It is one of the

universities with most complete range of disciplines across China. HBU is
approved as a Chinese Language Proficiency Test (HSK) test center and
also has the qualifications of Chinese Government Scholarship and
International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship enrollment. HBU
has been approved as a Chinese Language Education Base by overseas
Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. Now, HBU has also set up the
Hebei Government Public University Scholarship & HBU President
Scholarship for international students. HBU has trained nearly 4,000
graduates from more than 90 countries, including Pakistan, Vietnam,
Indonesia, Russia, Sudan, Malaysia, etc.

Eligibility for Application
The applicants must be Non-Chinese
citizens [The applicant must possess a valid
passport or citizenship-proof documents
(citizenship longer than 4 years), and should
have a record of more than 2 year residence
in any country other than China in the past 4
years (as of Apr. 30th in admitted year)]
Applicants must observe Chinese laws,
regulations and school disciplines, respect
the Chinese customs and habits with good
personalities.

Application Procedures

1.Log into the website at

https://hebu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx,
then create your account with personal email address, fill out
and upload required files and materialsthrough the registra-
tion portal.
2.We will send an email to inform you once your application
is approved.within 5 days
3.The related colleges will organize interviews for master and
PhD applicants.
4.After you pass the interview and your documents are finally
approved, please provide us your detailed mailing address.
Your Admission Notice of Hebei University and Visa Appli-
cation for Study in China will be mailed to you according to
the mailing address you provided.
5.After receiving the Admission Notice of Hebei University
and Visa Application for Study in China, you can apply for
the student visa (X1 or X2) from the Chinese embassy in your
country.
6.Please inform us of your arrival time after you get your visa.
7.If you could not get to school on time, please inform us in
advance, otherwise you will be treated as giving up the admis-
sion.

Medical Insurance
The Chinese Ministry of Education stipulates that inter-
national students studying in China must purchase
medical insurance within China. Hebei University will
not process registration procedures for those who have
not purchased medical insurance.
