Planned 3p fuel duty rise in January to be scrapped. August 2012 duty rise reduced from 5p to 3p
A welcome response from the Chancellor but......reacting to news in the Chancellors Autumn Statement that the January 3p rise in fuel duty is to be scrapped, Quentin Willson, spokesman for FairFuelUK said, This is a victory for FairFuelUK but only a stay of execution. Weve saved the UK 9p since March in proposed fuel duty rises and we are now the gatekeepers of fuel sanity for this country. Were going to carry on pressurising this government to keep duty down and reduce it signicantly. If we dont theyll hike it up again the rst chance they get. BAR has worked hard behind the scenes to support this important campaign. For more information, please visit: http://www.bar.co.uk/Consumer/AboutBAR/NewsAndOffers.aspx

Self Storage the Quality Standard: BS EN 15696
Self Storage is a relatively new industry comprising both traditional removers and storers who have diversied into offering this service together with new, specialist operators (the majority, probably). Although such facilities have become a common sight all over the country, many customers are rst-time buyers and they do not know what to expect or how to make comparisons between several apparently similar providers. This is where the Quality Standard BS EN 15696 could give you the edge over the local competition if you are all offering roughly the same service at roughly the same price but nobody has this standard in your area, it could be your ace card! QSS has already certied a number of operators and will be happy to offer advice, provide you with a copy of the standard, or of course carry out an assessment and add you to their list of Quality service companies. For further information and advice on becoming certied, contact Chris Waymouth: chris.waymouth@bar.co.uk or call 01923 699480 / 07831 309379
