human life.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
Topic: The Female Reproductive System
Reference: Department of Education (2015). Science Learner’s Material Grade 10 –
Module on the Female Reproductive System. DepEd Tambayan. Retrieved from:
Science G10 LM Q3 PDF
Materials: Powerpoint presentation, diagram of the female reproductive system, activity
sheets, puzzle cut-outs
Value Integration: Respect for the human body and responsible decision-making in
health
III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary Activities (5 minutes)
1. Prayer- Lead by student
2. Greetings- Greet the class
3. Energizer- “Simon Says” with body parts

● Students will assemble the puzzle and answer the question “ What body
system does this represent?”
D. Discussion (20 minutes)
1. Exploration (Group Activity):
● Students are put into groups and given diagrams of the female reproductive
system that don’t have any labels on them.
● They will find the missing parts and label them.
2. Teacher Input:
Teachers discussed the parts and function using the Science Learner’s Material:
● Ovaries- produce eggs and hormones
● Fallopian Tubes- site of fertilization
● Uterus- where implantation and fetal development occur
● Cervix- opening of the uterus
● Vigina- passageway for childbirth and receives sperm
E. Comparison and Abstraction (5minutes)
● The teacher will ask “ How does the female reproductive system differ from the
male system in function?”
F. Formulation of Concept (5 minutes)
The teacher comes up with the idea with students:
"A woman's reproductive system is made up of organs that make egg cells, help
fertilization happen, and make sure the right conditions are right for pregnancy."
Its functions are controlled by hormones through feedback loops.
G. Application (5 minutes)
● Scenario: “If your younger sibling asks why girls have menstruation, how would
you explain it simply but respectfully?”
● Students will share their responses.
H. Evaluation (5 minutes)
Activity: Label the diagram of the female reproductive system and answer the
following:
