APU Summer Camp 2012

Ritsumeikan Asia Paci c University (APU) is well known as Japans rst genuine international university. Currently, we have around 6,000 full-time students half of which are Japanese with the rest coming from about 80 countries and regions. This summer study program is designed for high school students from Indonesia to experience APUs multicultural environment and explore the depth of Japans culture, tradition, and technology. For those with dreams of playing a leading role in the international community, this camp is carefully designed for you.

International Business Workshop and Seminar: A workshop and seminar about topics related to business in Japan will give you a taste of our innovative and award winning eld study program, forcing you to think and enrich your understanding of various international issues. You will be working with students with teaching Assistants (TA) also there to lend a hand. Explore Japan: Participants can learn about Japanese culture and advanced technology. A day trip to a famous historical castle town will help you understand about Japans traditional culture where you can also try on kimono, experience Zen meditation, tea ceremony, temples and shrines, etc. Another trip to a TOYOTA car factory will give you some insight into the world of Japans advanced technology industry. Group Work and Field Study: The main themes of the eld study will be provided, with you as participants deciding your own individual study topic related to business in Japan. Each group will then give a 20 minute presentation about their eld study with the best group being awarded the title APU Summer Camp Award 2012 judged by APU faculty. Other Enjoyable Activities: 1.
