[Chapter 5]
 After the first hunt, the
whalers successfully catch a
few whales and they work
quickly to cut off the fats
before the sharks attack the
carcasses.
The fats are cut into
squares and then brought
to the ship .
On the ship, the fats are
cooked and made into oil .
The oil is then stored
barrels. Later, the oil will be
sold all the over world.
Captain Ahab has
no interest in the oil
process as he is
only obsessed with
killing Moby Dick
From time to time during their
voyage , the Pequod
encounters other whaling
vessels. Each time, Captain
Ahab demands information
about Moby Dick from the other
captains.
 One days , the Pequod the
Albatross. It is on its voyage
home after spending four
years at sea.
Looking at the crew of the
Albatross reminds Starbuck
of how much he misses his
own family. He wonders if
Captain Ahab has forgotten
that he to has a family at
home.
 Ishamel feels sorry for those
who have families back
home. He also wants to get
married and have a family
one day.
Days later, the
Pequod comes
across the Samuel
Enderby .
Its captain , Boomer,
comes aboard and says
that he has lost his arm
in arm in an encounter
with Moby Dick.
Captain Ahab invites
Captain Boomer to
join him in his mission
to hunt and kill the
white whale.
However, Captain Boomer
declines and this makes
Captain Ahab angry. Before
leaving the ship, Captain
Boomer says that he hopes
they will never meet Moby
Dick.
