When Ishmeal saw for the first time the Albatross, he noticed how white is the ship.

They have what is known as a “gam” which are friendly social occasions between the captains and crews
of two ships. The men exchange letters, books and learn about each other’s success at hunting whales.

Actually, captain Ahab didn’t want to stop and talk to other captains or wailer because he dint want to
waste time, the only think he cared about was Moby Dick and nothing ealse.

Right whales eat plant food. They can swim slowly through the watery field of Brit and with their mouth
open to take in as much of their plant food as posible.

5. Why is it necessary to keep the harpoon rope wet?

6. What does Starbuck think it means to see a giant squid?

For Starbuck if you see a giant squid that means that you can be sure the fact that it’s rarely seen gives
the story great power.

7. Who had the honor of hunting the white whale?


8. How long did it take to tow the whale back to the Pequod?

It took a few hours to go back to the ship and tow it on the Pequod. It was almost dark by the time they
returned.

9. What did Starb order Queequeg and another sailor to do about the sharks?

Starb order Queequeg and other sailors to attack the sharks.
