Simple Present Tense
 NEGATIVE Form

The Patterns are :


 Subject + Do + not + Verb Word
I do not study pathology.
You do not live in German.
We do not buy book.
They do not understand of
science.
 Subject + DOES + Not + Verb Word
He does not examine the patient
She does not make the schedule
it does not work well.
INTERROGATIVE Form
The Pattern is :
DO + Subject + Verb Word + ?
DOES
Examples:

 Do you work in Antenatal Clinic?


Yes, I do
No, I do not / No, I don’t
 Do they come on time this morning?
Yes, they do
No, they do not / No, they don’t
 Does he know the pediatric ward?
Yes, he does
No, he does not / No, he doesn’t
Simple Past Tense
 Negative Form
The Pattern is :
Subject + DID + Not + Verb Word
Ex:
• He did not listen to the lecturer.
• She did not accompany her children.
• They did not speak English yesterday.
• We did not come from Italy.
• You did not eat your medicine.
 Negative Form
The Pattern is :

DID + Subject + Verb Word +Complement + ?

Examples:
 Did She do her homework?
Yes, She did
No, She did not / No, She didn’t
 Did you arrive at 9 o’clock?
Yes, I did
No, I did not / No, I didn’t
