• MATHURA BUDDHA

India is sculpture. It
is good to note that
Indian sculpture is
used mainly as
decoration.

is the famous Buddha
figure found in
Mathura, India. This
city has been the seat
of sculpting the
Buddha for a very
long time (2 BCE – 6
BCE).
• Another popular
sculpture is the
statue of Ganesha,
the Hindu god of
light and festivals,
which is plated with
gold sheet. This
statue symbolizes
reverence for life.
