SCOPE AND DELIMITATION
This study focused on the impacts of Korean
Music and Video to the lifestyle of Senior High
Students of Hingatungan. This study concerned on
how the Korean Music and Video affects the
lifestyle of the students. The respondents are the
Senior High Students of Hingatungan. The study
will be conducted at Hingatungan National High
School.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
INFORMATION- facts provided or learned in the data gathered
KOREAN DRAMAS (K-DRAMAS)- refers to televised dramas, in a
miniseries format, produced in South Korea.
KOREAN POPULAR MUSIC (K-POP) - a musical genre originating in
South Korea that is characterized by a wide variety of audiovisual
elements.
KOREAN WAVE- "Hallyu" in Korean, to the sudden increase in
popularity of South Korean culture around the world.
LIFETSYLE- is the interests, opinions, behaviours, and behavioural
orientations of an individual, group, or culture.
LINGUISTIC- the culture may be adapt includes the local/national
language, jokes, and slang.
VISUALS- covers the ethnic appearances, stars, clothing, style and
values.
CHAPTER II. REVIEW
OF RELATED
LITERATURE
The study of Semilla C. A and Soriano P. (2017) aims to find out the impact of
watching Korean dramas among the selected Senior High school students of
the Marinduque Midwest College and to determine the factors why most of the
Filipino youth especially the students are attracted to watch Korean dramas.
Specifically it attempts to answer to the question of what are the factors that
influence the Filipino teenagers specifically the Senior High School students
to watch Korean dramas and what are the impacts of Korean dramas among
the Senior High School students of Marinduque Midwest College in terms of
Lifestyle and Behaviors. The study utilized mixed method, both qualitative and
quantitative research. Descriptive method was used to describe the impact
and causes/factors why the Senior high are attracted to watch, through the
use of study under quantitative research and basic qualitative studies. Self-
constructed questionnaire-checklist lifted from different sources and adapted
by the researcher was utilized to gather necessary data for this study. Data
were presented using graphs and tables. Frequency, percentage, ranking and
weighted mean were used to analyze and interpret the data gathered. Results
showed that the main factors why most of the Senior High school. Based on
the result gathered, the two main commonly adapt/pick up by the senior high
school students in watching Korean dramas was the language (uttering
Korean words) and Fashion/style(trying out new trends)

SCHOOL STUDENTS OF THE MARINDUQUE
MIDWEST COLLEGE. Marinduque Midwest College,
Senior High School.
Based on the study of Alanzalon S. K. (2011) examines the
popularity and popularity of popular Korean(Kpop) songs
and videos to teenagers aged 15-19 years. The researchers
conducted a traditional and online survey on 270 Filipino
youths, and six focus interviews with fans of the following
Korean groups: Girls' Generation, Super Junior,
Shinee, SS501, and U-Kiss. The researchers examined the
concepts of consumption, the cultural element, and the
needs of the Filipino youth. The discovery of the Filipino
youths in Kpop was highly exposed, and they used various
media consumption, especially the Internet. They like
Kpop because of cultural elements, more visual aspects
such as the outer appearance of Korean artists (face, form,
hairdo) and the quality of music videos (geography, set).
Kpop's consumption has helped to thank the
children for the enjoyment and excitement of youth
because of its visually impressive elements and quality
products (songs, dances, talented artists).

The study stated of Eunju Ko, Eunha Chun and Seulgi Lee (2011), the
Korean lifestyle and traditional values are not being introduced to the
world. Therefore, this study identifies the values of Korean beauty
from ideological, religious, and aesthetic perspectives and
backgrounds, discovers the Korean beauty present in the traditional
Korean lifestyle and culture, including clothing, food, housing, Korean
liquor, and Korean paper, and provides strategic implications for
globalizing Korean beauty and improving the national brand value of
Korea. The in-depth interview method was also applied to determine
the strategic implications of globalizing Korean standards of beauty.
As a result, this study proposes five marketing strategies related to
the Strategic Experiential Modules (SEMs) that can induce a positive
perception toward Korean culture and national image. Regarding
‘Sense’ marketing, developing luxurious contents with a combination
of modernism and tradition is suggested. Movies and fashion shows
can be effective experiential channels that can arouse either the
aesthetic amusement of or pleasure in Korean beauty.
