• संचयं च प्रकोमं च प्रसरं स्थानसंश्रयं |
• व्यक्तं भेद च यो दोषाणां स भवेद्बीषक्
||

• It includes 6 stages in the prosscess


of disease namely

• sanchya , prakop , prasara ,


sthanasamshraya , vyaki & bheda
१.SANCHAYA

तत्रसंहक्रतरूपवृक्ि चयः | (Su.Su 21/18,Dalhana)

• Swasthana vruddhi of doshas takes place in


this stage.

• CLINICAL FEATURES :
• V- Stabdhakostata ,poornakostha
• P- Pitavbhasata, mandoshmta
• K- Augagouravam, alasyam
• Dosas having been sliminated in the stage of
accumulation do not attain successive stage.
They become stronger as they proceed futher.
• वातवृद्धि – मधुर अम्ल लवण सिन्गध उष्णौ उपक्रमे
• सपतवृद्धि – मधुर सतकत-कषाय शीतै उपक्रमे
• कफ़वृद्धि- कटु सतकत कषाय तीक्ष्ण रुक्ष उपक्रमे
२.PRAKOPA

“िंहवतरुपा वॄसवश्चयः ।” (Su.Su 21/18,Dalhana)

• Doshas which had previously accumulated in


sanchaya avastha become excited to move to
other locations

• P: Amlika pipasa paridah

• This stage on lack of proper treatment


progress to 3rd stage Prasara.
३.PRASARA
“प्रकषेणसरवणंप्रसरवणम् ।”
• Spreading to wider area.
• Dosha prakopa take place in very high quantity
so that it increases from its own site and start
spreading all over the body .

४.STHANA SAMSHRAYA

स्थानिंश्रय ईसत दोषदु ष्यस्य िंश्रय: |

The excited dosha having moved to other parts of body


become localized and it marks the beginning of
manifestation of specific diseases pertaining to those
structures.

कुक्रपतानां क्रह दोषाणां शरीरे पररधावतं |
यत्र संग खवैगुन्यात व्याक्रधस्तत्रोपजायते||

The prakupita doshas will spread all over the


body, once finds kha vaigunya they accumulate
there producing disease.

• UDARA- Gulma,Vidradhi,Udara,Agni-
sada,Aanaha,Visuchika and Atisara.
• BASTI-
Prameha,Ashmari,Mutraghata,Mutradosha.
• MEDRAGHATA-Niruddha
prakasaha,Upadamsha,Shuka dosha.
• GUDAGHATA-Bhagandhara,Arshas.
• VRUSHANAGHATA-Vriddhi.
• URDHWAGATA-Urdhwa jatruja rogas. 23

This stage give a clue on future
disease as POORVROOP(Premonitory
Symtoms) appear in this stage .
If treatment not given in this stage it
progresses to vyaktavastha
५.VYAKTI
शोफ़ाअर्ुवदग्रक्िक्रवक्धधक्रवसपव प्रभृतीना प्रव्यतलक्षणाता
जवरअक्रतसारप्रभतीनां च तत्र पञ्चम क्रियाकाल
(Su.Su 21/34 ,Dalhana)

• Manifestation of disease takes place in this


stage (panchama kriyakala)

• This stage denotes roopavasta of a disease.

६.BHEDA

अत उध्वमेतेतेषांमवदीणाना व्रणभावमापन्ननां षष्टः क्रियाकल


ज्वराअक्रतसारप्रभृतीनां च
दीर्वकालानुर्न्ध तत्राप्रक्रतक्रियामाणोडसाध्यतामुपयाक्ि ||
(सू. सू २१/३५)
• Deergha kaala anubandha.

• If left untreated it goes to asadhya stage.

• Classification of diseases depends on dosha


predominance

• When the disease reaches this stage, they may


act as predisposing causes for other diseases.

Nidan (Etiological factors of AMAVATA)
• सवरुिआहारचेष्टस्य मन्दग्नेसनश्रलस्य च |
• सिग्ध भुकत्वो ह्यन्न व्यायामं कुववततथा ||
A Person take viruddhahara sevan
(contraindicated food ) & forbidden physical
activities will get agni diminished.
If person has sedentary life style & always take
oily food , soon follows physical exertion.
(1.Sanchy ) Nidan Sevana guru –singdh annpan sevan

Aggnimandya (Distrubes Agni)

(2.Prakop) AAM dosha Utpatti (Aam Vata)


(3.Prasar) Circulating by Dhamnis in body

Aam is more aggravated due to sthanic dhosa

(4.Sthanasansrya) Dushit aam goes shlema sthan sansray
