What Am I?
Identify the parts of the male
reproductive system.
1. The male external sex organ
2. Produces the sperm cell and male sex
hormones or testosterone

temperature of the testes
FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
OVARY
-The female egg – producing glands
-Provide storage for the ovum (eggs) from
birth, and start releasing them sometime
at the beginning of puberty
-Allow maturation of the ovum
-Produce sex hormones (estrogen,
progesterone)
FIMBRIA (singular) FIMBRIAE (plural)

-Guides a mature ovum, when it is


released from an ovary, into a
fallopian tube
-Finger – like projection outer ends
of the fallopian tubes.
FALLOPIAN TUBES
-These are narrow tubes that
connect the ovaries to the uterus.
-The egg travels through one of
the tubes after ovulation.
-Allow passage of sperm from
uterus.
-Place where fertilization may
occur.
UTERUS (WOMB)

-Made up of muscular walls,


a lining called the
endometrium.
-A place where a baby can
grow.
-It is about the size of a fist.
-It is the uterus that enlarges
during pregnancy, not the
stomach.
CERVIX
-The bottom section of uterus
that opens into the vagina

-Produces fluids to help sperm to


travel.
VAGINA
-The passageway leading from
the uterus to the outside of
the female body.
-The birth canal
-Allows passage of sperm
