Report Sheet
The Male and Female Reproductive System
Observations
1. Label the parts of the male reproductive system and indicate one important function of
each.

Ureter
Seminal vesicle
Bladder

Rectum

Ampulla
Public Bone
Ejaculatory duct
Vas deferens
Prostate Gland

Cowper’s gland
Cavernosum
Anus

Spermatic cord
Penis
Epididymis
Urethra
Testes

Glans penis Scrotum

Urethral Orifice Scrotum – to protect the testes from temperature

fluctuations.
Public Bone – This circular bone creates the lowermost Testis – responsible for making sperm
portion of the hip bone.
Epididymis – Sperm transport and sperm maturation.
Vas deferens – help the transportation of sperms by creating a
pathway from rete testis to the epididymis Spermatic cord – Contains nerves

Cavernosum – To facilitate penile erections. Anus – To control the expulsion of feces.

Penis – The penis acts as a conduit for urine to leave the body. Cowper’s gland – produce thick clear mucus prior to
ejaculation
Urethra – Allows urine to pass outside the body.
Prostate Gland – to produce the fluid that nourishes
Glans Penis - The tube through which semen and urine exits and transports sperm.
the body.
Urethral Orifice - Transmits urine from the bladder to the exterior of
the body.

Rectum – To receive stool from the colon.

Ureter – carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder.

Seminal vesicle – For fertility.

Bladder – walls relax and expand to store urine

Ejaculate duct – delivers sperm into the urethra

Ampulla - movement related sensory experiences like spatial

awareness and pressure change.

2. Label the parts of the female reproductive system and indicate one important function of
each.

Uterine fundus
Fallopian tube

Ovarian ligament
Muscular wall

Ovary

Cervical Canal
Fimbriae

Uterus
Cervix

Endometrium Vagina

Ovarian ligament – A fibrous connective tissue that attaches bone to bone.

Fimbriae – To collect the egg released from the ovary after ovulation and draw it into the fallopian
tube.

Uterus –Holding the fetus it tills the baby is mature enough for birth

Vagina – It connects the uterus and cervix to outside of the body.

Cervix – Holding it till the baby is mature enough for birth.

Cervical canal – Supplies mucus

Ovary – Make eggs and hormones like estrogen and progesterone.

Muscular wall – To expand and contract to accommodate a growing fetus

Fallopian tube – Serve as pathways for the ova to travel from the ovaries to the uterus.

Uterine fundus - Most region that will host a fertilized embryo as it grows into a baby.
Conclusion:
When I label the parts of the reproductive systems of female and male there has a lot of idea
I gain in this activity and I learn more about this topic after I plot the names of the parts and
its function.
Questions
1. In what ways are the female and male reproductive systems similar? In what ways are
they different?
- I think the part with similar reproductive system is urethra from male and cervical
canal of female because this part will pass that urine and some sperms when its
time.

2. What is a zygote and how is it formed?

- A zygote is a combination of the sperm and egg that develop inside of a female
reproductive system. Zygote was formed with a from sperm and that fertilized to
zygote.

3. Trace the correct path of the sperm from the testis to outside the male body.
4. Trace the correct path of an egg cell from the ovary to outside the female body.

5. How will your knowledge about the male and female reproductive systems help in solving
teenage pregnancy and overpopulation?

- I think the only way to solve the problem or the teenage pregnancy is to think and to
be wise in what will happen in the future when you do this thing but there has way
to prevent this is to use some protection during sex so that there will no sperm will
go through.
