used to create new idea to the
target audience.
Types of Visual Media
• Photography - The art or process of producing
images by the action of radiant energy and especially
light on a sensitive surface (such as film or an optical
sensor)
• Video - A sequence of images processed
electronically into an analog or digital format and
displayed on a screen with sufficient rapidity as to
create the illusion of motion and continuity.
• Screenshot - Also called screen capture. a copy or
image of what is seen on a computer screen at a
given time
• Infographics – Are visual presentation of information
in the form of a chart, graph, or other image
accompanied by minimal text, intended to give an
easily understood overview, often of a complex
subject: a mass-transit infographic that uses different
colors to represent different modes of transportation.
• Data Visualization – Such as charts and graphs is a
“graphic representation, as by curves, of a dependent
variable, as temperature, price, etc.; graph”
• Comic Strip/Cartoon – A sketch or drawing, usually
humorous, as in newspaper or periodical, symbolizing,
satirizing, or caricaturing some action, subject, or
person of popular interest.
• Meme - a cultural item in the form of an image, video,
phrase, etc., that is spread via the Internet and often altered
in a creative or humorous way.
• Visual Note-taking - or sketch noting is a process of
representing ideas non-linguistically. (That’s a fancy of way
of saying, “drawing pictures.”). On the simpler side of the
visual notetaking continuum, visual notes can be used to
create narrated art.

In photography, exposure value (EV) is a number that represents a combination
of a camera's shutter speed and f-number, such that all combinations that yield
the same exposure have the same EV (for any fixed scene luminance).
