where n = sample size, N = population size, and e =
desired margin of error, which is the percent
allowance for non precision because of the use of the
sample instead of the population.
For example, in a population of 9000 and a margin of
error set at 2%
n = 9000/[1 + 9000 (.02)2]
n = 1,957
