[IMAN]
‫ایمان‬
For being a Muslim one must put his faith in
ALLAH.
 THE QURAN REVEALS
َ‫ي ن ََّز َل‬ َْ ‫ب الَّ ِذ‬ َِ ‫س ْو ِلهَ َو َْال ِكت‬ ‫ر‬ ‫و‬ َ
‫اّلل‬
ُ َ َ ِٰ ِ ْ ِ ْ َ ‫ب‬ ‫ا‬ ‫و‬ ُ َ
‫ن‬ ‫م‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ا‬ ٰٓ
‫و‬ ُ ‫ن‬ ‫م‬ ‫ا‬ َ
‫ْن‬
َ ‫ي‬ ‫ذ‬
ِ َّ ‫يٰٓاَيُّ َھا ال‬
َ‫ن يَّ ْكفُ ْر‬ َْ ‫ل َۭ ََو َم‬ َُ ‫ن قَ ْب‬
َْ ‫ل ِم‬ َْٰٓ ‫ب الَّ ِذ‬
ََ َ‫ي ا َ ْنز‬ َِ ‫س ْو ِلهَ َو ْال ِكت‬ُٰۗ ‫علي َر‬ َ
ََّ ‫ض‬
‫ل‬ َ ْ
َ
‫د‬ َ ‫ق‬َ ‫ف‬ َ
‫ر‬ِ َ
‫خ‬ِ ‫اْل‬ْ َ
‫م‬ ْ
ِ ْ َ ‫س ِلهَ َو‬
‫و‬ ‫ي‬ ‫ال‬ ُ ‫اّللِ َو َمل ِٕى َكتِهَ َو ُكت َُِبهَ َو ُر‬ َٰ ‫ِب‬
4:136‫ل بَ ِع ْيدًا‬ ً
َ ‫ضل‬ ۢ َ
• O you who believe, do believe in Allah and His
Messenger and in the Book He has revealed to His
Messenger and in the Books He has revealed earlier.
Whoever disbelieves in Allah and His angels and His Books
and His Messengers and the Last Day has indeed gone
far astray.
IN HADITH
‫…قال فأخبرني عن اإليمان قال أن تؤمن باهلل ومالئكته‬. •
….‫وكتبه ورسله واليوم اآلخر وتؤمن بالقدر خيره وشره‬

• “tell me about Iman (faith) " (Allah's Apostle) said, ‘Iman is to

believe in Allah, and His angels, and His scriptures, His Apostles
and the last day, and the divine predestination of good and evil."

‫رسالہ‬
ALLAH sent His
message to mankind
through HIS chosen
people known as
prophets [a.s]
 BELIEF IN THE PROPHETS ‫رسالہ‬
Chosen by ALLAH.
ٰۗ
َ‫ن ذُ ِرَيَّ َِة ادمَ َۤ و ِم َّم ْن‬ َٰ َ‫• اُول ِٕىكَ الَّ ِذ ْينَ ا ْنعم‬
َْ ‫ّللاُ علَْي ِه َْم ِمنَ النَّ ِب ّٖينَ ِم‬
‫ن هد ْينا‬ َْ ‫سر ٰۗا ِء ْيلَ َۤ وَ ِم َّم‬ ْ ِ‫ن ذُ ِريَّ َِة اَِ ْبر ِه ْيمَ وا‬ َ َ‫حم ْلنا معَ نُ ْوح‬
َْ ‫ۤ َّو ِم‬
‫اجتب ْينا‬ ْ ‫و‬
• Those are the people whom Allah has blessed with bounties, the prophets from
the progeny of ‘Adam, and of those whom We caused to board (the Ark) along
with NuH, and from the progeny of Ibrahim and Isra‘il (Jacob), and from those
whom We guided and selected [19:58]

َُ ‫ّللاُ اعْل َُم ح ْي‬

َ‫ث ي ْجع َُل ِرسالته‬ َٰ •
• Allah knows best where to place His message. [6:124]

ِ ‫صطن ْعتُكَ ِلن ْف‬

َ‫س ْي‬ ْ ‫• وا‬
• And I have chosen you for Myself: [20:41]

Sent to every community.
ََ‫ّللا‬
ٰ ‫ُوا‬ ‫د‬ ‫ب‬ ‫ع‬
ُْ ِ ‫ا‬ َ
‫ن‬ َ ‫ا‬ َ
‫ْل‬ً ‫و‬ ‫س‬ ‫ر‬ ‫ة‬
َ َ
‫م‬ ُ ‫ا‬ َ
‫ل‬ ُ
‫ك‬ َ
‫ي‬ ‫ف‬ ‫َا‬ ‫ن‬ْ
ْ ُ َّ َّ ِ ْ ِ ‫• َولَقَ َْد بَعَث‬
ََ ‫غ ْو‬
‫ت‬ َّ ‫اجت َ ِنبُوا‬
ُ ‫الطا‬ ْ ‫َو‬
• We did raise a messenger among every people, with
the message: :Worship Allah and stay away from the
Rebel (the Satan) [16:36]
 BELIEF IN THE PROPHETS ‫رسالہ‬
Their mission

As ‘‫ ’بشير‬and ‘‫’نذير‬.

‫س َِل‬ ۢ َ ِ َّ‫ل يك ُْونَ ِللن‬ ََ ‫ْن َو ُم ْن ِذ ِري‬

ََّ ‫ْن ِلئ‬ ًَ ‫س‬
ُ ‫الر‬
ُّ َ‫ــة ب ْعد‬
َ ‫ج‬ ََّ ‫ّللاِ ُح‬
َٰ ‫اس علي‬ ََ ‫ل ُّمبَ ِش ِري‬ ُ ‫ُر‬
4:165 ‫ّللاُ ع ِز ْي ًزا ح ِك ْي ًما‬
َٰ َ‫ۤوكان‬
Messengers giving good tidings and warning, so that people may have no plea
against Allah after the Messengers (have come). Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

BELIEF IN THE PROPHETS ‫رسالہ‬

• Completion of the guidance.

• The purpose of Prophet hood.
• For reminding the people.
• For eradication of any excuse.
BELIEF IN THE PROPHETS ‫رسالہ‬
• Nature of a Prophet:
• Human perfection
• High moralities
• Infallibility
• Absence of contradiction in their
message.
• The Miracles of the Prophets.
• Prophetic predictions.
• The superiority of the prophets.
 BELIEF IN THE PROPHETS ‫رسالہ‬

َْ ‫ض ْلنا ب ْعض َُه َْم علي ب ْعضَ َۤ ِم ْن ُه َْم ََّم‬

‫ن كلَّ َم‬ َّ ‫س َُل ف‬ ُّ َ‫تِ ْلك‬
ُ ‫الر‬
َ‫ّللاُ ورفعَ ب ْعض ُه َْم درجتَ َۤ وات ْينا ِع ْيسى ا ْبنَ مَ ْريم‬
َٰ
ِ ‫حِ اَْلقُد‬
َ‫ُس‬ َِ ‫ا ْلب ِين‬
َ ‫ت وايَّ ْدن َهُ ِب ُر ْو‬
Those are the messengers some of whom We have given excellence
over some others. Among them there are ones to whom Allah spoke
(directly) and He raised some of them steps higher (in other
respects), and We gave clear signs to lsa, (Jesus), the son of Maryam
(Mary) and supported him with the Holy Spirit,
 MUHAMMAD [‫]ﷺ‬

Unique attributes of his prophet hood

 RASULULLAH’S [S.A.W] PROPHET HOOD
Universality of time and mankind
[4:79] ‫ش ِھ ْيدًا‬ َ ً ‫س ْو‬
َٰ ‫ْل َۭ َو ََكفى ِب‬
َ ِ‫اّلل‬ ُ ‫اس َر‬ ََ ‫س ْلن‬
َ ِ َّ‫ك ِللن‬ َ ‫َوا َ ْر‬
• We have sent you to be a Messenger for the people. Allah
is enough to be a witness.
Finality.
َ‫ّللاِ َوخَات َ َم‬
َٰ ‫ل‬ ََ ‫س ْو‬ َْ ‫جا ِل ُك َْم َول ِك‬
ُ ‫ن َّر‬ ََ ‫ن ِر‬َْ ‫ان ُم َحـ َّمـدَ اَبََا ٰٓ ا َ َحدَ ِم‬
ََ ‫َما َك‬
‫ع ِلــ ْي ًما‬
َ َ‫يء‬ َْ ‫ش‬
َ ‫ل‬ َِ ‫ّللاَُ ِب ُك‬
ٰ ‫ان‬ ََ ‫ن َۭ َو َك‬ ََ ‫النَّـ ِبي‬
[33:40]
• MuHammad is not a father of any of your men, but he is a messenger
of Allah and the last of the prophets. And Allah has the Knowledge of
 RASULULLAH’S [S.A.W] PROPHET HOOD
Perfection.
َ ‫ل َمثَلَ َۭ َو َك‬
َ‫ان‬ َِ ‫ن ُك‬ َ ِ َّ‫ن ِللن‬
َْ ‫اس ِم‬ َِ ‫ي هذَا ْالقُ ْرا‬َْ ِ‫ص َّر ْفــنَا ف‬َ ‫• َولَقَ َْد‬
[18:54]‫جدَل‬ َ َ‫ش ْيء‬ َ ‫ان ا َ ْكث َ ََر‬
َُ ‫س‬ ِْ
َ ‫اْل ْن‬
• Indeed We have explained in this Qur‘an every subject in
various ways for the benefit of the people, but out of all
creation, man is most disputing.
Divine protection.
15:9 َ‫ظ ْو َن‬ ِ ‫ن ن ََّز ْلنَا‬
ُ ‫الذ ْك ََر َواِنَّا َلَهَ لَح ِف‬ َُ ‫• اِنَّا ن َْح‬
• We, Ourselves, have sent down the Dhikr (the Qur‘an), and
We are there to protect it.
RASULULLAH’S PROPHET HOOD
• His Miracle. The Quran.

‫ع ْب ِدَنَا فَاْت ُ ْوا‬

َ ‫ي‬‫ل‬ ‫ع‬ ‫َا‬ ‫ن‬ ْ
‫ل‬ َْ ِ‫ن ُك ْنت ُ َْم ف‬
َ ‫ى َريْبَ ِم ََّما ن ََّز‬ َْ ِ‫َوا‬
َ‫ّللاِ ِا ْن‬
َٰ ‫ن‬ َْ ‫ش َھدَ ٰۗا َء ُك َْم َِم‬
َِ ‫ن د ُْو‬ ُ ‫ن ِمثْ ِلهَ َوا ْد‬
ُ ‫ع ْوا‬ َْ ‫س ْو َرةَ ِم‬
ُ ‫ِب‬
َ‫ُك ْنت ُ َْم ص ِدقِي َْن‬

If you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant,

then bring a Surah similar to this, and do call your supporters other
than Allah, if you are true. [2;23]
