INTRODUCTION
• The number of cars in the world is increasing day by day
• This brings in the most common problem i.e parking
• Existing solutions take up a lot of land area and cost is also too high in order
to maintain it
• In this presentation we aim to address this problem by giving an efficient and
a cost effective solution
OBJECTIVES
• To solve the modern day parking problem
• To improve the existing parking system
• To save the land area by utilizing the maximum in minimum space
• To cut the costs for the existing multilevel parking system
• Using concept of theory of machines in order to gain required mechanical
advantage.
CONSTRUCTION
• A vertical rotary parking system in which hanger support plates are fixed to a
suspension chain circulating along an endless track and support hangers with
palettes on which vehicles are loaded, and the hangers are circulated by a driving
unit, the driving unit comprising a frame
• A driving motor which is fixed to the frame and generates power
• Chain guide rails which are supported by the frame and guide the suspension chain
• An annular rotating body which is supported by a support unit such as to be rotated
with respect to the frame, has an inner circumference on which an inscribed gear is
formed, and includes at least two pull blocks
• A pinion which interlocks the inscribed gear and is rotated by the power of the
driving motor
• A coupling portion which is formed on the hanger support plate and combines with
the pull blocks so that the pull blocks can slip onto or out of the hanger support
plate.
CONSTRUCTION (CONTD)
WORKING
• It has an assembly of chain and sprockets in order to rotate.
• In each interval there is a plate where the car is actually parked.
• The chain is rotated to a fixed distance so that the plate comes down and
the car is parked through raised platform.
• Use of control system in order to see the car ID in order to identify the car.
CASE STUDIES
• South Korea and Japan are the 1st countries to start the projects in order to
solve the problems due to their small land area
• Germany has also started to constructing it for its increasing automobile
population
• Recently Egypt has also sanctioned this project for their city overhauling
projects
WHAT’S NEW?
• Use of the mechanism in order to achieve the maximum of the space.
• Eliminates the use of cemented structures and floors for parking space.
• Existing multilevel system is less user friendly and high risk
• This system eliminates the user to think and see the parking spot
• Removes the risk of accidently brushing with other vehicles during park or
unpark time
COMPARISON
ADVANTAGES
• Quick Automated Parking and retrieval of vehicles.
• Up to 12 cars or 10 SUV's can be easily and safely parked.
• Surface space required equivalent to just 2 surface car parking spaces.
• Most suitable for Staff or dedicated user parking.
• Engineered to ensure Driver safety by use of an electronic Safety zone.
• Low maintenance levels required by the system.
• Does not require a parking attendant.
ADVANTAGES (CONTD.)

• Easily constructed in a small area, just requiring a simple concrete base and 3
phase electricity.
• This system is cost effective when extra land for surface parking is not available.
• Rotary parking is extremely reliable and has been well tried and tested with
many reference sites available.
CONCLUSION
• This is actually the future of parking .
• This parking model will solve the problem of cost and also decreasing land
space for the parking
• Will also generate the lot of employment of mechanical engineers if the
government sanctions this more quickly.
• In short, the model has power to ensure the problem of parking under wraps
