Adjectives are words used to


describe nouns.
Types of Adjective
1. Descriptive Adjective
are words that describe the existance of nouns.
a)Nouns used as adjectives characterized by suffixes, -al,
-en, -ish, etc
b)Nouns added with suffix –ed can also function as an
adjective
c)Proper adjective, originating from proper nouns and
always starting with capital letters
d)Verbs that are used as adjectives are characterized by the
suffixes, -able, -obtain
e)Present participle is the first verb that gets the suffix, -ing
and can function as an adjective
f)Past participle is a third form of verb which can also
function as an adjective(usually a reguler verbs)
g)There is also an adjective originating from the adjective
itself(by changing/adding)
