OBJECTIVES:

1. Explain the difference of latitude and


longitude, equator and prime meridian.
2. Locate a country/city based on the given
latitudes and longitudes.
3. Appreciate the importance of the
globe/map in locating places.
 REVIEW/RECALL
UNLOCKING OF TERMS:
Globe is a representation of the Earth.
Latitude is an imaginary line (horizontal) that runs in an east and
west direction.
Longitude is an imaginary line (vertical) that runs in north and
south direction.
Equator is a line that separates Northern and Southern
hemispheres.
Prime Meridian is a line that separates Eastern and Western
hemispheres.
ACTIVITY
Locate and give the nearest city/country through
the given latitude and longitude.
