1. Topography – This refers to the physical
features of the land. Steep land requires much
more labor to produce fruits than what will
be required on more levelled sites. The more
levelled the land, the less cost of production
you will incur.
2. Air drainage – Plants need plenty of air in
order to live and grow well, Select a site that
is exposed to fresh air.
3. Water supply – Good water supply should not
be overlooked. Nearness to water supply
is necessary.
4. Sunlight – Choose a sight that is sunny, not
shaded. Fruit trees needs sufficient
sunligh for growth.
5. Soil – Plants get their nutrients from the soil to
enable them to grow. Different plants have
varying needs on the type of soil.
