Objective/s:
At the end of the a forty-five minute period,
the students will be able to:
a.identify the type of imagery used in a
statement or line;
b.show the importance of imagery in
understanding literary pieces; and
c. compose a literary piece with imagery
lines.

RY
- means to use figurative language to
represent objects, actions and ideas in a way
that it appeals to our physical senses.
- it makes use of particular words that create
visual representation of ideas in our minds.
- The word “imagery” is associated with
mental pictures.

“Raise your Sense”


DIRECTION/S.
•The teacher will provide the groups materials
containing each type of imagery. The teacher will
read the lines or statements with specific type of
imagery on it. After the teacher reads the lines twice
and delivering the go signal. Each group will raise
the exact type of imagery used in the line/s being
read.
•Every correct answer equivalent to two (2) points.
ACTIVITY
Direction:
Compose a short poem using each type
of imagery. Underline the lines with
imagery.

Use of imagery - 5 points
Total - 10 points

Direction: Identify the type of imagery used in
each statements below. Write visual, auditory,
olfactory, tactile and gustatory on the space
provided.

ASSIGNMENT
Look for existing literary piece/s (poems, stories, and song lyrics) and
write down lines with each type of imagery. Use the table below.
