Research Problems
This study aims to assess the reading level in
English of the elementary pupils in Apopong District for
school year 2016-2017.
Specifically, the study seeks to answer the
following questions:
1. What is the oral reading levels in English of
elementary pupils in terms of:
a. Word recognition; and
b. Comprehension?
2. What district implementation program could be
developed based on the results of the study?

(Pre-test and Post-test Design)

Hypothesis

The null hypothesis was tested at 0.05

level of significance:
There is no significant difference in the pre-
test and post-test scores in Mathematics of
Grade 11 students.

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Experimental Design
(Pre-test and Post-test Design)

Respondents
The respondents of the study were the seventy
(70) Grade 11 students who were officially enrolled in
New Society National High School-Senior High School.
The sample respondents were identified if they took the
pre-test and scored below 80% or below mastery level.
The students below the mastery level were given
remediation based on DepEd Order 42 s. 2016.
