Future Tense

Simple Future has two different forms in English: “going to" and “will”

 Example:
● I will wash the car later.
● I am going to play football tomorrow.

Sometimes people use either one, but we should use them for specific purposes

Using “Going to”


Section 1

 To express a plan – Something you have decided to


do. Section 2

• “GOING TO" expresses that something is a plan. It Section 3


expresses the idea that a person intends to do something in
the future.
Section 4

 It does not matter whether the plan is realistic or not.

 We use ‘will’ when we express a voluntary action.


 In other words we use it when we are happy to do it.
 Section 1
Example
• I will mark your book later.
 We also use "will" when we request that someone help us Section 2
or volunteer to do something for us.
 Example:- Section 3
• Will you give me the pen?
• Will you help with my homework?
Section 4
 Similarly, we use "will not" or "won't" when we refuse to
voluntarily do something.
