INTRODUCTION:
• A percentage is the top part of a fraction whose bottom part is 100.
• Percentages are very useful because they ,make it very easy to compare
things.
EXAMPLES:
• 50% means 50/ 100 = a half

• 25% means 25/100 = a quarter


POINTS TO REMEMBER:
The points to remember while using the percentage are listed below:
Amount: The total amount calculated from the given percentage.
Base: The base amount is the total amount given.
Percent: The given percentage that need to be calculated.
HOW TO CALCULATE:
• Percent = Amount ÷ Base × 100
• Base = Amount ÷ Percent × 100
• Amount = Percent × Base ÷ 100
CONCLUSION:
• Hence the concept of percentage is used in every field the three points
should be remembered every time while using or calculating percentage.
• It is also one of the simplest way of quantifying things and presenting
comparative ratios.
