Preamble – Impact of COVID-19
 We are forced to use the Digital Platforms
 School, Colleges are closed until further notice
 We have to adapt a new lifestyle
 We are practiced to live without so many things
which we thought as very essential earlier
 Cleanliness and hygiene are become a primary
concern
Challenge : 1
(Work Process & time Management)
 Moving classes to online without proper training and
extra budget
 Teachers have to use many e-learning tools to deliver
the contents
 Staying more hours online to streamline the process to
make online learning more efficient
 Grading the assignments submitted by the students
online

 The entire burden is on the teachers to adopt
themselves and students to a new way of learning
Suggested Solution :
Honestly, all we can do is to encourage you to stay brave
and advise some free tools to organize your workplace.
 Use Learning Management System tools like Google
Class room, Moodle, etc., to deliver the contents
 Use Google forms for conducting Quizzes in MCQs

Shortage of Smart Devices (Gadgets)

 Not every student & teacher has a personal gadget to


use for online learning.
 Sharing of gadgets between parents / siblings.
 Clash of timings. Students and their parents will have
online schedule at a same time

Suggestions:
 Teachers can create a YouTube Channel and upload
the videos on it. (Or)
 Videos can be stored in google drive and the link can
be send to the students through WhatsApp / SMS.
 Let the class be on demand online class. Don’t fix the
scheduled time for the class. Students can view the
videos at time of their convenience.

Internet Connectivity & Storage
 More usage of digital platforms i.e, online classes,
video streaming, other digital tools.
 Millions of people experiencing technical difficulties
with poor internet connectivity
 Mobile data plan is exhausted very quickly
 Teachers are trying to manage the bad internet
connection during the online lessons. 
 Due to Overloaded online sessions, servers are
running out of storage

Suggestions:
 Upgrade your mobile data plan form higher speed
 Institutions have upgrade their server storage

The sad truth is that we have to adopt ourselves to


slow internet connectivity until the COVID-19

Lack of Computer Literacy
 Many good teachers are feeling difficult to adopt to the
new technology due to lack of Computer literacy
 Computer system is a common equipment for all
discipline / faculty
Suggestions:
 Improve your computer skills because we have no
other choice

Poor level of student engagement
 It’s hard to keep students engaged without a teacher’s
physical presence and face-to-face contact

 Hard to sit in online class for a long time

 Distraction at home

 Lessons are not presented in interesting manner.

 Make the e-content interesting
 Add some graphical content to make it pleasant
 Use simple language
 Short videos, quizzes, on-the-go recordings, bite-size
learning

 This psychological factor is still highly affecting
students’ motivation and learning progress.
 Eye-to-contact, sharing experiences, joking, non-verbal
communication are missing
 For many students class room is a sanctuary, which is
not taken away

 Teacher responsibility is not only to provide e-learning but
support the students, stay connected
 Show your students that you are open to communication
 Keep the lessons simple
 Find time to discuss students’ concerns about the current
situation

 Share your experience that how you are managing the
situation
 Teachers can show the Ray of Hope to the students in
overcoming this challenge

CHALLENGE
AND EQUAL TO THE ROLE OF THE
GOD
 At the bottom line

Your 50+ years old Teachers don’t know about


Zoom / G-meet. They never faced camera in
their entire life, but still Teach you online
because its their Job.
Please Don’t humiliate or disrespect them.
Respect Teachers. Abusing them doesn’t make
you cool, but sick.
To Conclude
 The world is Changing
 Today’s crisis can open the door to new opportunities
 Learning to use gadgets not only for fun and also to achieving
new standards of online learning
