 Your opinion about positive and negative
effects of technology on the environment.
POSITIVE
1) Campaigns through social networks or through Online service.
2) the recycling of certain materials or the use of alternative energy sources.
3) The prediction and extinction of forest fires is carried out by artificial satellites.
4) Modern detection methods allow the presence of fires to be noticed shortly after
they occur.
5) Renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind or geothermal energy are not
depleted and, in general, pollute less than non-renewable sources, such as coal or
oil
NEGATIVE
1) Pollution. It is perhaps the most noticeable effect. The increase in
energy consumption has significantly increased the proportions of
certain gases (carbon dioxide, sulfur oxides, etc.) in the atmosphere,
especially near industrialized areas. Some consequences of air pollution
are global warming of the planet due to the greenhouse effect or the
decrease in the thickness of the ozone layer.

2) Waste generation. Certain technological activities generate highly

polluting waste that is difficult to dispose of, such as some plastic
materials or nuclear waste.

3) Oil tanker accidents have dire consequences for the marine

environment in which they take place. The black tides produced can
significantly damage the populations of fish, seabirds, etc., in the
affected region.
 How do you see the future of our
planet?
Technology can provide essential support for the preservation of the
planet and its resources, but the priority objectives must be identified, in
this regard, it believes that it is not going in the right direction, since the
technological giants are more concerned with bringing the Internet to the
deserts, that by solving the essential problems, I see in the future many
solved problems such as access to drinking water, but the pollution
increases more and more.
 How to mitigate the environmental
damage?
We must recognize that there are very serious problems due to incorrect,
inappropriate or simply uncontrolled uses of certain technological developments, but
I believe that to mitigate these errors we must have responsibility and not only blame
the technology, but rather of those who, in an excessive eagerness of comfort, of
profit, of power, they use technological resources without previously analyzing the
ecological, social and human consequences that their use and abuse can entail.
