 CYLINDRICAL METALS

• -Basically these are materials and / or equipments that are

used in conducting tests and measuring the specified amount
and specifications of a Construction materials.
• -These apparatuses plays a significant role in examining the
quality and the measurements of materials in Construction.
 CYLINDRICAL METAL MEASURE

 Made from thick walled Mild steel or cast

aluminum.
 Stout and rigid to retain form and Precision
machined for true measurements.
 Complete with handles for easy carriage.
 It comprises of set of three measures 3, 15 & 30
liters. Complete with one tamping rod, round, 16
mm dia and 600 mm long, one end rounded.
 USES :
 covers determination of the density of freshly mixed
concrete and gives formulas for calculating the yield,
cement content, and air content of the concrete.
 PRECISION CAST ALUMINUM
UNIT WEIGHT MEASURES

• preferred to determine unit weight,

yield and gravimetric air content of
fresh concrete or void content of
aggregates to ensure high quality
pavements and structures.
 BULK DENSITY APPARATUS

• 
• Used to determine Determines Bulk
Density or unit weight of aggregates.
• It consists of a Calibrated Cylindrical
Measures of sheet iron with handles.
Capacities available 3 litres, 5 litres, 7
litres, 15 litres & 30 litres.
• Complete with One Tamping Rod 16mm
dia x 600mm long both ends rounded.
 METAL CYLINDER MOULDS 

• reusable, heavy-duty steel split mold for

use in forming concrete specimens and
has 1/8in wall, split along one side with
two quick-acting clamps.
• When clamps are released, mold springs
part slightly for removal of specimen. A
tight-fitting detachable base plate is
furnished. All parts are plated for rust
resistance and are non-reactive to cement
constituents. Steel molds give uniform
results and are dimensionally stable under
severe use.
METAL CYLINDER MOULDS 
 SOIL DENSITY/CYLINDER MOLDS

are used when compacting soil samples for standard

Proctor Compaction tests.
These molds can be used alone with Soil Compaction
Hammers and will also fit the HM-530 
Mechanical Soil Compactors.
Complete Mold Sets include a 4x4.584in (102x116.4mm)
IDxH mold, detachable extension collar, and base plate.
The rugged heavy steel sets are clear zinc plated for rust
resistance. Mold volume is 0.0333ft³ (943cm³). 
Mold Body, Base Plate, and Extension Collar are each
also available separately.
