• Signed and approved on June 20, 2018


• It enshrines the Filipinos’ access to mental health services
as a fundamental human right.
• This law firmly dispelled two pervasive misconceptions:
– The mental health is not as important as physical hea
lth, and
– That depression, anxiety and other mental health iss
ues can be chased away by “positive thinking” without
the help of mental health professionals.
• This law recognizes that the workplace is a contributing f
actor in raising awareness of Filipinos on mental health is
