Woven pile fabric
Pile fabrics are characterized by the brush like surface formed by the
tufts of warp or weft cut threads. The brush like surface is formed by a
set of threads which project at right angles from a foundation or
ground structure and form a pile or loop on the surface.
Pile can be done either on the loom or the machines of the fabric
finishing department. Such fabrics should be distinguished from the
others which become a pile after passing through a raising machine or
after electrical flocking.
Woven pile fabric
Pile weaves are woven with three sets of yarns instead of two .
If the loops are close together the surface will be more crush resistant. If the pile
is looser, the fabric will flatten when worn.
The back of the pile fabric may be plain, twill or satin weave. The durability of the
fabric depends upon the base weave construction.
Types of pile fabrics
Woven pile fabrics are three-dimensional fabrics made by weaving into the basic structure and an extra
set of warp or filling yarns are used to make cut or uncut (loops) piles on a surface of the fabrics.

Weft pile fabrics
The piles formed by weft thread .
Weft pile fabrics , contains a weft cut pile produced by cutting the weft threads at the fabric
finishing process by specially constructed knives.
The are two systems of weft threads(one them interlacing with warp to form the ground and
the other forming the pile) and one system of warp threads (having two function ,interlacing
with weft to form the ground and holds the pile tufts in place.
