According to MANFRED STEGER
Globalization is the Expansion
-
and Intensification of Social

world-time and across world-space.
Expansion
It’sthe creation of new social networks and
multiplication of existing connections that cuts
across Traditional, Political, Economic, Cultural,
and geographic boundaries.

Government Organizations
Intensification
Refers to the development,
stretching and acceleration of
the networks caused by the
Expansion of networks.
Globalization vs Globalism
Steger insists that Globalization is different from
Globalism
Globalization represents the processes that allow for the
expansion and intensification of global connections.
Globalism is a widespread belief that the global integration
of economic markets is beneficial to everyone since it
spreads freedom and democracy across the world.

Arjun Appadurai believe that

Remember
Globalization is often defined as a macro scale
phenomenon but we should also look into how it
affects the lives of people who are living in it.
Using the different “scapes” on how you view
how globalization would allow us to see
situations differently and would encourage us to
do further research before responding to any
situations
