On Project of RDMP Balikpapan, PT. PP Presisi

Tbk. as a sub contractor which is got tender for

work in pipe rack foundation, using:

1. Wash Boring

2. Bored Pile
WASH BORING

Washing boring is one method of making bored piles

in diameter 300mm – 600mm with a depth of 6m to

24m using Bore Pile Mini Crane which for drilling

requires a lot of water. Normally washing boring is

used for bored pile work which have difficult working

location with using Bore Rig/ heavy equipment.

BORED PILE

Bored pile is one type of deep foundation which is

have diameter 600mm, 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, &

1500mm with a depth of more than 24meters using

Bore Rig/ heavy equipment. Deep foundations are

usually used in high rise building construction, bridge,

and others construction.

For wash boring work, we used protection it Soil Surface

used concept of “boring table”. It means the

machine of wash boring stand on upper of the

The working steps/ stages is always the same. The different is
drilling time needed which depends on characteristic of soil (SPT
results).
